Meet The Team

Dr. Ahmed Said

BDS, MSc (Oral Medicine)

Ahmed is the principal dentist at our practice. After qualifying in 2003, he practiced general dentistry before perusing his studies further at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute (UCL) and was awarded his Master’s in oral medicine in 2007. He is committed to continuously refine his knowledge and skill set on providing the latest evidence-based dentistry for his patients.

Ahmed took over Firs Dental Surgery in 2018, he took this old established practice to where it should be in the modern dentistry world. Ahmed has a holistic approach and with more than 16 years of experience and his gentle nature, he has gained the trust of his patients to provide them with the best available options. Ahmed main focus is patient satisfaction by putting the patients first.

Ahmed has special interest in dental implants and cosmetic dentistry, He is also interested in facial and dental pain management, especially for anxious and nervous patients, he put all of his patients at ease and provide pain free, relaxed and a good quality dentistry.

Dr. Zianeb Ahmed

BDS, MSc, DDPH RCS (Eng.), PG Dip. In Endodontics.

Zianeb is a partner of the practice. She qualified as a dentist in 2003, and after four years of general dentistry went on to do a Master’s programme in Dental public health in 2007 from UCL, she also has a Diploma in Dental public health from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and a Diploma degree in Endodontics (root canal treatment), at Eastman Dental Institute in 2019.

Zianeb has worked both in hospital and practice settings over the past 16 years. Her extensive knowledge, experience and attention to fine detail have made it possible to provide dental care to the highest possible level.

Zianeb accepts root canal treatment referrals from other practices and is very patient and meticulous in her approach.

Dr.Gerry van Deventer

BChD (Stellenbosch). MSc Oral Surgery, MSc Implantology.

Gerry Graduated in Stellenbosh South Africa 1997. After relocating to the UK he worked in Sedation referral practices in London and Kent where he gained extensive experience in Oral Surgery.

In 2009 he was accepted for a master's degree in Oral Surgery at UCLAN. He then followed this with a master's degree in Implantology as he felt this would complement his work in Oral Surgery.

Gerry is very experienced in dental implants, oral surgery, removing difficult and wisdom teeth as well as other advanced implant augmentation procedures, such as bone grafting and sinus lift.

He is also heavily involved in training colleagues who are interested in improving their skills in these areas, and he has been selected as a mentor for the students on the MSc implant course at the University of Central Lancashire.

In his free time Gerry enjoys travelling and playing golf.
